The international horse industry translation specialist

Background
Marji began translating professionally in 1997 while living in the Netherlands. Her facility with the Dutch language coupled with her background as an English language writing and literature instructor resulted in a steady flow of translation projects from international clients. Marji’s life-long interest and expertise in horses led to her specializing in the international horse industry, attracting clients such as the KWPN, Trafalgar Square Publishing, and Stal Roelofs.

Skills
Although Marji specializes in the horse industry, she also translates a broad range of general and semi-technical texts, including websites, marketing literature, corporate communications, training manuals, diplomas, birth certificates, and children’s books.

Marji specializes in translating horse related texts. Among her favorite projects to date were translating the books Ride Horses with Awareness and Feel: The New Dressage Training System from the Dutch Olympians at Academy Bartels by Tineke and Joep Bartels, Selecting the Dressage Horse by Dirk Willem Rosie with Anky van Grunsven, and The Simplicity of Dressage by Johann Hinnemann and Coby van Baalen with Claartje van Andel.
